UPMC Children's Community Pediatrics is hiring a Full-Time Patient Services Representative to support the office in Wexford.
Weekend and evening availability required to support the hours of operation.
Pediatric experience preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Patient Interaction: Greet patients, assist with check-in, collect copayments, and update information.
- Scheduling: Arrange follow-up appointments and connect patients to services.
- Support: Help patients navigate the healthcare system and provide clear instructions.
- Technology: Register patients in Biometrics and promote MyUPMC portal.
- Financial Advocacy: Educate patients on financial responsibilities and connect them to resources.
- Compliance: Verify insurance, obtain consent signatures, and follow HIPAA regulations.
- Admin Tasks: Handle phone calls, scan records, and perform office duties.
Qualifications:
- Completion of high school or equivalent required.
- Experience with personal computer-based applications, various office equipment, and proficient typing skills preferred.
- Two years of experience in a medical, billing, fiscal, or customer service role preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
- Prior experience with Medipac, Epic, or other health records systems preferred.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, Act 73.
