About the Role:
The Expeditor plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and timely flow of materials, products, or information within a supply chain or production environment. This position is responsible for coordinating and monitoring the progress of orders, deliveries, and production schedules to meet deadlines and maintain operational efficiency. The Expeditor acts as a liaison between suppliers, vendors, production teams, and logistics to resolve any delays or issues that may arise. By proactively identifying potential bottlenecks and communicating effectively with all stakeholders, the Expeditor helps to minimize downtime and optimize resource utilization. Ultimately, this role contributes significantly to customer satisfaction by ensuring that products and services are delivered on time and according to quality standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a logistics, supply chain, or production support role.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Basic proficiency with inventory management and order tracking software.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control standards.
- Ability to analyze data and generate reports to support decision-making.
- Certification in supply chain or logistics (e.g., APICS CPIM or CSCP).
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and track the status of orders, shipments, and production schedules to ensure timely delivery.
- Communicate with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve delays, discrepancies, or quality issues.
- Coordinate with purchasing and inventory departments to prioritize urgent orders and manage stock levels.
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation related to order status, delivery schedules, and production progress.
- Identify potential supply chain disruptions and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- Facilitate effective communication between cross-functional teams to streamline workflow and improve efficiency.
- Report regularly to management on order status, potential delays, and resolution efforts.

The Expeditor utilizes strong organizational skills daily to manage multiple orders and schedules simultaneously, ensuring nothing is overlooked.
