We have close relationships with financial advisors and family attorneys which enable us to provide a full array of services to our clients under one roof.
The Job
The Senior Accounting Associate is responsible for delivering high-quality accounting services, including complex account reconciliations, financial analysis, and client relationship management. This role ensures accuracy, compliance, and timeliness across all assigned tasks while serving as a knowledgeable resource for both clients and internal team members. The Senior Accounting Associate collaborates closely with the Accounting Manager and broader accounting team to resolve discrepancies, support financial reporting, and maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
What do we need you to do?
- Reconcile complex balance sheet accounts and perform detailed financial analysis.
- Review general ledger activity for accuracy and completeness.
- Monitor cash activity and prepare timely cash reports.
- Prepare and review sales tax, property tax, CAT, and other compliance filings.
- Research accounting issues, document conclusions, and recommend solutions.
- Support financial reporting and clearly explain impacts to clients.
- Complete special analysis projects and present findings to management.
- Manage client engagements, including budgeting, timelines, and deliverables.
- Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and reliable execution.
- Delegate tasks effectively and support onboarding of new CAS staff.
- Collaborate across departments and provide clear updates on project status.
- Coach and guide team members while maintaining a positive, professional environment.
- Participate in firm committees and internal initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to add value by understanding client operations and firm services.
Qualifications for this position:
- 3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting and payroll processes, including compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with GAAP is preferred
- A highly motivated and dedicated person
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite
