This position will work 4 x 10-hour shifts Monday - Thursday. SWING SHIFT: (4:00PM - 2:30AM)
Swing shift gets an additional $1.50/hr to their hourly rate on top of the $30-$33/hr.

Job Summary:
The Group Lead's role is to assist the production supervisor in overseeing daily production activities, ensuring efficient processes, and maintaining quality standards. They may also assist with training, scheduling, and reporting, as well as supporting the overall production goals of the company.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervision: Assists in supervising production personnel, ensuring they follow procedures and meet quality standards and expectations
- Process Coordination: Helps coordinate production process and equipment to optimize workflow efficiency
- Scheduling and planning: Supports in scheduling production activities, assigning tasks and ensuring timely completion of production goals daily and weekly for prime efficiency. Timely and accurately communicates operational status to manager and peers.
- Quality Control: Assists in monitoring production quality, identifying defects and implementing corrective actions
- Safety: Ensures that production personnel adhere to safety regs and Procedures
- Training: Assists in training new employees in production processes, equipment and safety protocols, provides specialized technical assistance to group members
- Problem Solving: Assists in identifying and resolving production problems including coordinating with other depts to ensure smooth operations and true root cause
- Inventory management: May assist in managing inventory levels to ensure production has an adequate number of materials for smooth operation
- Cost Control: Supports efforts to minimize Production cost, including reducing waste and Optimizing resource utilization
- Continuous Improvement: Participates in activities and Initiatives to improve production processes and enhance efficiency interacts with group members to implement solutions.
Additional Responsibilities specific to the role in NAS:
- Manage, train and monitor team members and team leaders
- Assist in reviews and feedback of team including disciplinary actions if needed
- Assist in maintaining the Skills matrix
- Ensure STT is maintained and accurate daily
- Ensure the daily documents are accurate and completely signed
- Engages in design reviews
- Assist in Inventory control (cycle counts)
- Must be willing to rotate for weekend overtime with others monthly to ensure the floor is covered with leadership and learn other areas (Big Picture Thinking)
- Support all corporate process improvement efforts and programs.
- Participate in onboarding and orientation procedures to ensure the success of new hires as needed
- Provides specialized technical assistance to group members.
- Instructs and assists group members in interpretation of shop orders, job procedures, specifications, quality, safety, housekeeping and 5S requirements.
- Provides input to Shop Supervisor in performance evaluations. Including giving the evaluations
- Follows established chain of command in resolution of issues and problem-solving process.
- Develops and maintains positive working relationships within the company
- Leads by example, commits to performing job duties in a manner that ensures a clean and safe work environment for all employees in all operations.
- Interacts and assists group members in interpretation of shop orders, job procedures, specifications, quality, safety, housekeeping and 5S requirements.
- Ensures that all employees are given the opportunity to be successful by providing them with the correct tools and correct materials.
- Notifies Supervisor about all repairs or upgrades needed.
- Ensures that all employees are treated equally
- Communicates and reports with Shop Supervisor regarding work related accidents, illnesses and general safety concerns in a timely manner
- Willingly and cooperatively performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of manufacturing methods, techniques, and related equipment.
- A demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings.
- Ability to read and interpret production schedules.
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to: company work rules, safety, and drug and alcohol.
