About the role

The Bookkeeper provides hands-on support to the accounting function, assisting with day-to-day financial operations, reconciliations, and month-end close activities. This role is ideal for an early-career accounting professional seeking to build a strong foundation in general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and operational support.

The Bookkeeper position works out of our IDP facility in Pembroke Park, Florida.

Responsibilities

  • Record daily financial transactions, including bills, invoices, and receipts, in QuickBooks
  • Assist with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), including invoice processing and payment tracking
  • Support bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate and organized accounting records in compliance with company procedures
  • Assist with month end close activities and financial reporting preparation
  • Review transactions for accuracy and resolve discrepancies as needed
  • Maintain organized digital and physical accounting files
  • Support internal departments with accounting-related questions or documentation
  • Communicate professionally with customers and vendors regarding invoices and payments
  • Perform general administrative tasks related to accounting operations

Qualifications

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Education & Experience

  • Minimum of an Associate degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles
  • Experience with QuickBooks preferred, training available
