Job Summary:
The Licensing Assistant will serve as the catalyst for program and licensing compliance relative to all programs at Center for Countywide Programs, including Early Head Start, Head Start, Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP), 21st Century, etc. The Licensing Assistant will ensure a system of ongoing monitoring and support of program operations, to ensure that proper steps are taken to meet licensing requirements and tracking compliance.
Essential Duties (May include, but not limited to):
1. Revises and monitors the program's policies, service plans, and procedures.
2. Provides staff training and support, ensuring compliance with the program's policies, service plans, and procedures.
3. Conducts internal audits and facilitates plans for improvement.
4. Supports compliance with all Department of Health and Human Services DHHS licensing regulations.
5. Monitors and maintains licensing status for all programs and sites within the department of Center for Countywide Programs within the Genesee Intermediate School District.
6. Maintains a working knowledge of regulatory changes, trends in the licensing and regulation of child care facilities.
7. Consistently models Win-Win leadership.

Qualifications:
Education:
Associate's degree or higher in business management, education, or any related field. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience:
Current knowledge of Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) licensing preferred. Experience in DHHS licensing preferred.
Skills/Other:
Must be able to obtain Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) approval, to pass a physical exam and to obtain a satisfactory criminal history check through fingerprinting. Leadership ability and cultural sensitivity to develop relationships between diverse populations and multiple agencies. Excellent oral and written communications skills. Outstanding attention to detail. Exceptional organization, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Ability to travel to and from district building/programs. Ability to utilize district technology, and work to maintain proficiency, as required skill sets change with technology and/or the needs of the district. Demonstrated mental/physical ability and stamina for meeting the essential duties of the position. Works successfully as a member of a team. Demonstrate honesty, integrity, and professionalism at all times. Punctuality and good attendance are required for the position. Ability to work a flexible workday, work week, and work year in order to meet the needs of the position, the department and the district. Represents the district in a professional manner at all times. Ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions in accordance with board policies and established administrative guidelines.

Bargaining Unit:
Salary Schedule: Contracted; limited-duration grant-funded; Calendar Year; $16.00 - $18.00 per hour, commensurate with education and experience
