Janitor (Full-Time)

Due to the upcoming retirements of two long term, valued team members, Northfield Mount Hermon (NMH) is seeking full-time Janitors to start at the end of the academic year. We are looking for individuals who can take on a wide range of custodial maintenance responsibilities related to the care, cleaning, and upkeep of assigned buildings and facilities. • A robust 10.5% 403(b) contribution (with a 3% employee contribution)
  • Generous paid time off, including three weeks of annual paid vacation
  • Tired of packing lunch? Enjoy lunch in our dining hall while on duty and save an average of $2,700/year
  • Tuition remission for dependent children of high school age who meet the acceptance requirements of the school

About NMH:

Northfield Mount Hermon, an independent boarding and day school located in the beautiful Connecticut River Valley of Massachusetts, was founded on the principles of inclusivity and community - values that are as important today as they were at its founding in 1879.

In addition, the Janitor monitors cleaning supply inventory to promote efficient usage and ensures that equipment is properly maintained in alignment with safety standards. At times, this individual may complete specialized projects such as floor stripping and waxing, along with carpet and upholstery cleaning. Reliability, punctuality, and adherence to school safety policies are essential, demonstrating a commitment to maintaining a safe and clean environment for both students and employees.
