Permanent Building Substitute (Temporary) (JSHS)

There is currently three (3) positions that exist in our Jr./Sr. High School. This position will support teacher absences as needed. The incumbent(s) will work on all regular school days.

Note: There is a longevity incentive for substitute teaching. The incentive pays out at the end of the school year.

50-74 full days = $300

75 - 99 full days = $400

100+ full days = $500

Job Qualifications

• NYS Certification is required.

• Certifications for specific grade levels between 7 - 12 are preferred but not required.

• Must be comfortable working with students.

• Ability to work independently, facilitate group dynamics, exercise good judgment and show initiative.

• Ability to make a commitment to academic excellence.

• Have an ability to communicate effectively with staff and students.
