SUMMARY
Responsible for assisting the Count/Drop Supervisor with all aspects of the Count/Drop area of the Finance Department, such as gaming machine drop, handling table games drops, table game fills and credits and reconciliations, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations of the Gaming Commission, federal and state laws governing monetary transactions and policies, procedures and controls.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with training and developing department staff, as assigned.
- Provide direction to assigned staff and oversee projects assigned to staff.
- Act as a liaison, as necessary, between line staff and departmental leadership to ensure leadership is aware of any challenges with job performance, staffing levels, and/or job tasks.
- Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company's guest service culture standards.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, as they apply to the position.
- Assists the Count/Drop Manager with the coordination and supervision of the activities of all count and drop employees on property.
- Maintains a thorough, working knowledge of laws, rules and regulations of the Gaming Commission, as well as policies, procedures and controls.
- Ensures adequate staffing levels in the Count/Drop Area of the Finance Department, by interviewing, selecting, training, scheduling, evaluating, assisting with career development, promoting, disciplining, and terminating employees, as needed.
- Ensures the integrity of all Drop Team transactions.
- Assists in counting money, and reconciling gaming revenue.
- Prepares various reports, including stiff sheets, transfer sheets, table game fills and credit slips, reconciles all totals to the Master Summary, forwards all information to appropriate individual(s).
- Maintains all records, reports and other required paperwork in the Count/Drop Area of the Finance Department.
- Conducts the necessary research to effectively resolve disputes.
- Facilitates the flow of information throughout the property, by organizing and presiding over regularly scheduled meetings with all employees under his/her span of control.
- Held accountable, to a high degree, for the accuracy, confidentiality, and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
- All other duties as assigned.
REPORTING LINE
You will report directly to the Count/Drop Supervisor and then the Cage Manager.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Must have excellent communication skills, be polite, and present a neat appearance at all times.
- The ability to work with others as a team in an efficient manner.
- Must possess effective communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Must be extremely numbers-oriented and computer-literate.
- Proven experience providing high level of guest service.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents.
- Ability to respond to inquiries from team members or guests.
- Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one and small group situations.
- The availability to work all shifts.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stressful situations.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company.
- The ability to verify the right to work in the United States.
EDUCATIONAL AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent. A minimum of 6 months accounting or count/drop experience preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the property for prolonged periods of time. Ability to push, pull, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crawl, twist, sit, climb, balance, carry and lift to 100 lbs. Constant use of hearing, speech, vision (including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, the ability to adjust focus, and distinguishing between shades of color), radios, and tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity.
