Description
A law firm in Greenville is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team. The ideal candidate will have several years of experience in accounting in the legal field, be an organized individual and have excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all firm accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and monthly financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with legal accounting rules, ethical requirements, and applicable state bar and trust accounting regulations.
- Prepare financial records, including year-end reports, budgets, and expense tracking.
- Manage daily office operations, ensuring smooth workflow, administrative efficiency, and adherence to firm procedures.
- Coordinate attorney and staff calendars.
- Maintain and monitor case-related financial data.
- Serve as a central point of contact for vendors, banks, and other third-party service providers.
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and internal controls to support firm growth and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Associate's in Accounting preferred
- 2 - 3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Experience in the legal field a big plus
- Strong communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Compensation & Benefits:
- $50,000 - $55,000
