Description

Sanitation Crew Leader

Responsible for the day-to-day implementation of pre-operational procedures by establishing and maintaining sanitary conditions throughout all Truvant's facilities. Leading the room of employees to ensure the sanitation procedures are completed accurately and in a timely manner.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Daily cleaning and sanitizing of production rooms, pack-off areas, and packaging equipment
  • Cleaning and sanitizing of any other areas assigned by the sanitation Crew Leader
  • Disassembling and assembling of equipment and production lines.
  • Operate a floor buffer and scrubber.
  • If any GMP violations have been observed, document and train the individual with input from your crew leader.
  • Consult supervisor on disciplinary, if necessary. Must notify supervisor of any incident under this expectation.
  • Fill out required sanitation pre-operational reports.
  • Help train employees in areas they are unfamiliar with.
  • Assist on production line as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Education, Training & Experience:

  • No previous experience required
  • Knowledge of basic sanitation procedures and equipment a plus.
  • Knowledge of basic chemical use and chemical safety measures a plus
  • On the job training provided

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Knowledge gained through on the job training of company products, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail.
  • Skill in operating various equipment as needed to perform the job.
  • Ability to function cooperatively and effectively in a team environment with peers and personnel in other departments.
  • Ability to keep company and customer information that is discussed or viewed while under employment with Truvant confidential.
  • Ability to adhere to all regulatory and company policies, procedures, work instructions including but not limited to: Truvant policies, customer specific policies, ISO, GMP's, USDA, regulatory food safety and food defense.

Physical And Environmental Requirements:

  • Must be able to read documents, printouts, computer screens and other communication

  • Must be able to reach, touch, grasp.
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to Climb, Stoop/Kneel, Lift, Pull and Push.
  • Must be able to conduct yourself in a safe manner to avoid accidents while on the production floor.
  • Must be able to work in various environments based on building location and products.
  • Level of Physical Requirements: Sedentary to medium work level; lifting and positioning weight loads up to 40 pounds.
