Position: New Patient Scheduler (Bilingual Preferred)
Location: Fresno, CA
Pay: $18-$22/hour
Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented New Patient Scheduler to support a busy medical office. This role focuses on scheduling new patient appointments, coordinating referrals, and ensuring a smooth intake process. Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are highly preferred.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 2 years of medical office or scheduling experience
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience with scheduling software (Medical Manager a plus)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule new patient appointments and manage referral coordination
- Verify insurance, demographics, and patient information
- Communicate appointment details, preparation instructions, and next steps
- Maintain accurate patient records and update charts
- Answer incoming calls and assist with scheduling inquiries
- Support providers and staff to ensure efficient daily operations
- Provide a professional, welcoming experience for all patients
Skills:
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
- Proficient with computers, phones, and standard office systems
