Job Summary:
Will be responsible for safely operating a commercial motor vehicle to deliver ready-mix concrete to customer job sites while ensuring product quality, safety, and excellent customer service.
Schedule: Monday Friday
1st Shift: 6AM-FINISH
3rd Shift: 12AM-10AM
Will be working 60+ hours!
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a mixer truck to transport and deliver ready-mix concrete to various construction sites.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck.
- Completes recordkeeping load information on reach order ticker that the driver delivers to job sites and returns to the batch office.
- Safely load, transport, and discharge concrete in accordance with specifications and company procedures.
- Communicate with dispatchers, batch plant, operators, and customers to ensure timely deliveries
- Maintain slump (consistency) of concrete through the proper use of truck controls and added water, when authorized
- Wash out the drum and chutes after each delivery to prevent material build-up
- Keep truck clean, fueled, and in safe operating condition.
- Follow all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies.
- Represent the company professionally with customers, contractors, and the public.
Qualifications:
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Class B or higher with air brake endorsement.
- Safe driving record (MVR will be reviewed).
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
- Unexpired DOT medical card.
- Experience with mixer trucks or construction materials.
- String communication and customer service skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to climb ladders and access all areas of the truck
- Lift and carry chutes and other equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to sit for extended periods while driving
