Maintenance Worker

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• Ability to read basic operating instructions and write reports.
• Demonstrates aptitude for successful completion of the task assigned.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the board may find appropriate or acceptable.

Reports To: Building Manager

Job Goal: To provide students with a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean, and efficient place in which to learn, play, and develop.

Performance Responsibilities:

• Participates in necessary (minor) general repairs with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general mechanical areas.
• Replaces broken windows.
• Assists general mechanics in remodeling and renovation work, upon request of maintenance staff.
• Maintains the school grounds generally.
• Assists in snow removal.
• Participates in the general cleaning and maintenance of the school building.
• Requisitions and receives supplies and equipment, and maintains necessary inventories.
• Assumes responsibility for the general security of the building.
• Assumes responsibility for the general fire safety of the building.
• Performs other reasonable duties as are assigned by the Building Manager for the well being of the school district.

Terms Of Employment: Salary and benefits to be determined in accordance with the negotiated agreement between Crawford Central Board of School Directors and Crawford Central Educational Support Professional Association.

Evaluation: Performance will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of non-professional personnel by the Building Manager.
