Associate Housekeeping Technician – Certified Surgical Cleaning Tech Preferred

Job Summary: This role is dedicated to ensuring a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in healthcare settings, adhering strictly to infection control standards and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in assigned areas, including operating rooms and common spaces.
• Clean and disinfect surfaces and equipment following established guidelines.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
• Properly handle, separate, and dispose of regular and biohazardous waste.
• Comply with all infection prevention, safety, and organizational policies.
• Work both independently and collaboratively to fulfill department objectives.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
• Previous experience in a related cleaning or housekeeping role is advantageous.
• Certification as a Surgical Cleaning Technician is preferred.
• 1-2 years of relevant work experience recommended.

Work Schedule: Part-time, approximately 30 hours per week, primarily first shift with varied hours including weekends and holidays on a rotating basis.

This position is located in a regional healthcare facility serving the Midwest area of the United States.
