Quality Inspector(Class 4 Laser Safety)-Greenville,SC (1099 Contract)

Responsibilities:-

• Inspect light tight enclosures to ensure containment of radiation to Class 1 levels.
• Verify interlocks, shutters, barriers, and warning systems are functional.
• Check administrative controls: signage, restricted access, written procedures, and personnel training.
• Confirm PPE availability and use, especially laser protective eyewear.
• Maintain inspection records and corrective action reports.
• Empowered to halt laser operations if unsafe conditions are found
• Acts as the compliance link between operators, management, and regulatory bodies.

Technical Qualifications:

• Laser Safety Officer; a formally designated inspector under ANSI Z136.1 standards
• Technical or scientific background (physics, optics, engineering, or occupational safety).
• Formal training in laser safety principles, hazard evaluation, and control measures.

Certifications:

• Completion of ANSI Z136.1 laser safety training.
• Familiarity with OSHA requirements and institutional policies.
• Documented competency in evaluating Class 4 laser hazards.

Location: Must be able to travel to Woodruff, South Carolina and nearby areas

Compensation: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
