Location: On-Site in Rochester, NY
Duration: April 27, 2024 - October 23, 2026 (with potential for permanent placement as a full-time employee)
Schedule: A Shift, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday
Pay Range: $21 - $22.00 per hour

We are seeking a dedicated Assembler II to join our team in Rochester, NY, where you'll contribute to building cutting-edge radio products that make a difference. About the Role:
As an Assembler II, you will be responsible for constructing, inspecting, and testing electronic components and products, ensuring they meet stringent quality and safety standards. You will work closely with supervisors, engineers, and team members to support efficient production processes while maintaining a safe and organized workspace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Component Assembly: Manually assemble radio products and other electronic components following detailed work instructions, blueprints, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Quality Assurance: Perform thorough inspection and testing of assembled products using test fixtures and software, identifying and troubleshooting issues promptly.
- Tools and Equipment: Operate hand tools, small power tools, and machinery with precision; maintain cleanliness and organization of tools and workspace.
- Documentation & Processes: Use SAP (ERP system) for processing job transactions, barcode scanning, and documentation of work activities.
- Communication: Regularly update supervisors and engineers on production status, material needs, and any issues encountered.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including PPE usage, and report any safety concerns or defects immediately.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, manuals, and work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and hand-eye coordination.
- Prior experience in electronics manufacturing or assembly is preferred.
- Familiarity with barcode scanning, SAP systems, and basic PC skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Awareness and proactive handling of potential safety issues.
Physical & Work Environment:
- Ability to visually observe small components and details at close range.
- Ability to lift objects up to 35 pounds as needed.
- Work may involve exposure to chemicals, solder fumes, noise, heat, and machinery. Proper PPE and ventilation are provided to ensure safety.
- Repetitive motion and high dexterity are essential to perform assembly tasks effectively.
- Ability to remain stationary for 50% of the shift and move around the manufacturing area as required.
