Job Title: HEDIS / Quality Improvement Medical Records Collector
Position Type: W2 Contract (Not open to C2C or 1099)
Contract Duration: 18 months
Work Arrangement: 100% Remote

Work Schedule: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Job Summary
The HEDIS / Quality Improvement Medical Records Collector supports quality improvement initiatives by working collaboratively with healthcare provider offices to obtain medical records for HEDIS and HEDIS-like audits. This role focuses on outreach, record collection, data organization, and accurate upload of medical records while meeting strict timelines and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support annual HEDIS and related audits through the organization, pursuit, collection, and upload of provider medical records
  • Conduct provider outreach via phone, fax, mail, electronic medical record systems, and occasional onsite pickup
  • Coordinate medical record collection activities in collaboration with cross-functional quality and HEDIS teams
  • Assist with project coordination, tracking, and reporting to meet high-visibility deadlines
  • Prepare and manage medical record collection workflows and documentation
  • Participate in meetings related to medical record collection processes
  • Collect medical records and reports from provider offices and load data into internal HEDIS applications
  • Perform chart review activities including scrubbing, renaming, and uploading documentation
  • Research provider office and member information using internal and external systems
  • Onsite medical record collection may be required as part of project needs

Required Skills, Education & Equipment

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year of related experience
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic data analysis
  • Ability to manage files, schedules, and information efficiently
  • Experience supporting chart retrieval projects, including calling provider offices, faxing, reviewing, renaming, and uploading medical records
  • Ability to collaborate with team members to meet aggressive deadlines and project timelines
  • Must have access to dual monitors and a docking station

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 1 HEDIS season or 1 year of medical record collection experience
  • 1 year of managed care experience
  • Basic knowledge of HEDIS and NCQA standards
