Qualifications
- Ability to work effectively and positively with students, staff, and parents in a school setting.
- Must successfully complete a criminal background check prior to employment.
Work Schedule / Shift Details
- This is a part-time, non-benefited position.
- Hours of Work: The supervisor will work 2.5 hours per day during the student lunch and recess period.
- Typical Shift: Monday through Friday, from approximately 10:40 AM to 1:10 PM (subject to minor adjustments based on the school's daily bell schedule). Note: The specific start and end times will be confirmed upon hiring.

- Principal / Assistant Principal
Job Goals
To provide for the safety, well-being, and structured supervision of Beach Park District 3 students during their lunchroom and outdoor recess activities.
Performance Responsibilities
- Maintains a supervised environment throughout the lunch period, both inside the cafeteria and outside on the playground/recess area. Student conduct is the direct responsibility of the supervisor.
- Enforces school and district procedures consistently and fairly, including promoting good lunchroom manners.
- Ensures that activities such as running and general misconduct are not tolerated in the lunchroom or on the playground.
- Supervises all student activities on the designated playground/recess area.
- Demonstrates punctuality and regular attendance is a requirement for this position.
- Is responsible for the light cleaning and general sanitation of the lunchroom area at the conclusion of the shift (e.g., wiping tables, managing spills).
- Manages the process for assigning and directing student seating in the cafeteria as needed.
- Reports all major student misconducts, injuries, or critical incidents immediately to an administrator.
- Models professionalism, respect, and positive behavior in all interactions with students, staff, and parents.
- Effectively and efficiently manages daily procedures and transitions.
- Performs other tasks and assumes other responsibilities as assigned by a school administrator.
Terms of Employment
- Salary and work year will be established by the Beach Park District 3 Board of Education.
Evaluation
- Performance will be evaluated annually by the Principal/Assistant Principal.
Salary & Benefits
- Competitive Hourly Rate: Based on the current collective bargaining agreement (typically ranges from $15.48 to $21.49 depending on experience and education).
