Job Title: Certified Sterile Processor

Location: Grand Blanc, MI 48439

Duration: 13 Weeks (Contract)

Shift: To Be Determined (Facility Requirement)

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, clean, decontaminate, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment.
• Ensure proper assembly, packaging, and sterilization of instrument trays according to facility protocols.
• Monitor sterilization processes including temperature gauges and sterilization indicators.
• Maintain accurate documentation of sterilization records and equipment logs.
• Distribute sterile instruments and supplies to healthcare teams in a timely manner.
• Follow infection control policies and sterile processing standards.
• Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and damage before sterilization.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sterile processing department.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent education.
• Completion of an appropriate Aide training program OR Central Technician program OR minimum 6 months of previous experience in Central Supply / Sterile Processing.
• Ability to read, write, perform basic arithmetic, and interpret temperature gauges.

Current Certifications

• NICHSPDP Certification (National Institute for the Certification of Healthcare Sterile Processing and Distribution Personnel) - Required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a hospital sterile processing department.
• Familiarity with sterilization equipment, surgical instruments, and infection control standards.
