The Senior Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily warehouse activities to ensure efficient and accurate handling of materials, storage and distribution of goods, and ensuring compliance with customer requirements. The Senior Warehouse Coordinator will collaborate and provide updates and information to the Warehouse Management team, Logistics, Planning, Customer Service, and the Sales Teams. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy and conformity to process.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact and escalation lead for all work order and sales order-related issues within the warehouse department. Proactively troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex process, system, or operational problems while providing timely updates and root-cause analysis to stakeholders.
  • Independently manage and resolve escalated customer order issues, including direct coordination with internal teams (Shipping, Receiving, Quality, Planning, Logistics, and Customer Service) to prevent delays and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Lead daily coordination between shipping and receiving teams to optimize the flow of incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring on-time processing, accuracy, and compliance with company and customer requirements.
  • Proactively identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and potential obstacles in the fulfillment process; develop and implement cross-functional solutions in collaboration with multiple departments to improve workflow and prevent recurrence.
  • Monitor, audit, and help drive accountability for order fulfillment processes, including picking, packing, labeling, and staging, while enforcing accuracy standards and helping implement corrective actions when deviations occur.
  • Serve as a key liaison and problem-solver between the Warehouse and cross-functional teams (Customer Service, Sales, Planning, Logistics, and Production) to resolve shipment-related issues, internal work orders, and intercompany challenges.
  • Identify and resolve intercompany transfer issues with urgency to minimize risk to downstream production sites, protect customer delivery commitments, and reduce potential financial or reputational impact.
  • Prepare, analyze, and distribute comprehensive reports on warehouse performance, including key metrics on order fulfillment, shipment accuracy, productivity, scheduling, and aging issues. Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Take ownership of on-time and accurate order fulfillment by tracking performance against targets, addressing root causes of delays or errors, and implementing preventive measures.
  • Lead the resolution of incorrect, damaged, or delayed shipments by conducting investigations, determining root causes, coordinating corrective actions, and communicating directly with Customer Service and Sales teams.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Education/Certifications: Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or business administration is strongly preferred.

Skills and Experience:

  • 3+ years of progressive warehouse operations experience, with at least 1 year in a team lead, supervisory, or planning capacity
  • Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing or high-volume distribution environment (preferred)
  • Intermediate/advanced proficiency in SAP (or comparable ERP system) with proven ability to conduct transactions and reporting; strong overall computer and systems aptitude required
  • Intermediate/advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, charts), with ability to analyze and interpret data
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) as well as working knowledge of ERP/MRP functions
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional collaboration, facilitate dialog/meetings with internal stakeholders and external partners, and communicate effectively at all organizational levels (including presenting findings to management)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to make decisions independently
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated experience
  • Familiar with general shipping procedures, both domestically and international
  • Ability to occasionally carry up to 25lbs. without the use of mechanical lifting devices
  • Ability to work with external vendors
