Assembler

PGS Worldwide is seeking an Assembler in Bethpage, NY for a one year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This role involves building and assembling mechanical and electronic components used in advanced aerospace systems, working from drawings and instructions in a production environment.

Required Skills

• U.S. Citizenship required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 10+ years of experience in an aircraft or similar assembly environment
• Experience working with hardware such as nuts, bolts, and rivets
• Ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D drawings
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
• Experience using hand tools and power tools

Preferred Skills

• Experience with milling machines or lathes
• Experience installing bushings
• Experience working with mechanical and/or electronic assemblies
• Familiarity with prototype or experimental builds

What You'll Do

• Assemble mechanical and electronic components including modules, panels, frames, and cables
• Follow diagrams, drawings, and work instructions to complete builds
• Perform layout and assembly using hand tools, power tools, and fixtures
• Conduct continuity checks and basic testing on assemblies
• Perform rework, modification, and repair of assemblies as needed
• Support prototype and experimental builds under engineering guidance
• Conduct quality checks to ensure compliance with specifications

Work Schedule / Shift

• Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Fully onsite in Bethpage, NY
• Up to 10% travel

Pay

• Up to $33.35/hr
