Join a dedicated healthcare team as a Patient Services Coordinator, where you will play a vital role in admitting, pre-admitting, and transferring patients within a busy emergency department setting. This position requires a warm, customer-focused approach to ensure every patient, from newborns to seniors, receives respectful and efficient service.

Essential Functions

  • Gather all necessary demographic and insurance information to admit or pre-admit patients, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations while maintaining a high accuracy rate.
  • Notify financial counselors about private pay or uncertain insurance cases.
  • Distribute admission paperwork promptly to relevant departments and staff.
  • Assist with patient transport as needed.
  • Adhere strictly to privacy and security regulations concerning Protected Health Information (PHI).
  • Collect co-pays, co-insurance, and deductibles according to insurance contracts and eligibility verification.
  • Process patient payments and complete daily deposits.

Education and Experience

No formal education is required; however, familiarity with medical terminology and prior clerical or computer experience is preferred.
