Job Description
This role involves operating a Class A commercial vehicle to transport building materials within a 100-mile radius, ensuring timely and safe deliveries while providing excellent customer service at each stop.
Responsibilities
-
Operate a Class A commercial vehicle safely and in compliance with all traffic laws and company policies.

Transport building materials and other assigned loads within a 100-mile radius.

Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly.

Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment, including forklifts when required.

Secure loads properly to prevent damage or shifting during transit.

Complete multiple stops per day as scheduled, ensuring on-time deliveries.

Provide professional and courteous customer service at delivery and pickup locations.

Maintain accurate delivery documentation and present a current Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) when required.

Keep the truck clean, organized, and in good working condition.
Essential Skills
-
Minimum of 4 years of professional driving experience, preferably transporting building materials.

Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).

Clean driving record with the ability to provide a current MVR.

Proven experience operating Class A trucks safely and efficiently.

Ability to load and unload materials safely and efficiently.

Capability to operate a forklift or willingness to work with material-handling equipment.

Strong customer service skills and professional communication at delivery sites.

Experience handling building materials or working in construction supply delivery.

Experience performing basic vehicle safety checks and documenting findings.

Work Environment
