Description
Mechanical Assembler
The assembler position works on the electrical and mechanical assembly and final integration of products. This position is for an experienced individual with 2+ years of experience building assemblies and sub-assemblies and wiring of components.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Assemble products to completion following electrical drawings and schematics
- Read/interpret electrical and mechanical assembly fabrication drawings
- Work independently and follow a schedule
- Participate in shop cleanup activities
- Communicate with shop leads regarding quality and production schedules
- Assist coworkers with other tasks as assigned
- Operate within the requirements of an ISO 9001 Quality System
- Work with quality, environmental, H&S employees to ensure and maintain compliance with safety, operational, and regulatory standards of quality
- Be aware of and comply with environmental, safety policies and regulations and always endure duties of high-quality standards
Job Requirements
Ability to understand assembly prints; mechanical aptitude; excel at the physical assembly of parts; experience in production line assembly and fine manipulation of components and wiring; advanced knowledge and working experience of handheld power tools/drills up to highest torque 65 in-lbs
Physical Demands
The employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle or manipulate objects, tools, keyboards or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Occasionally required to walk, sit; and may also be required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
