Description

Maintenance Technician

Maintains plumbing, heating, cooling, structural, ground care, parking and other areas of the resort by performing the following duties:

  • Provides excellent guest service.
  • Maintains distribution systems for electrical, water, gas, etc.
  • Maintains a/c, heating, ventilation and refrigeration systems.
  • Repairs furnace, fixtures and equipment.
  • Performs lawn and grounds maintenance.
  • Responds in a timely manner to requests for services by guests, associates and management.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work area free of hazards.
  • Prepares and maintains adequate records for accounting requirements, including, but not limited to, the daily labor and notation log, facility work requests, purchase orders, invoices and vehicles maintenance logs.
  • Is responsible for tool maintenance and inventory.
  • Is responsible for departmental materials and supplies inventory.
  • Has a good working relationship with all other department heads in order to coordinate work demands and schedules.
  • May be assigned other duties, sometimes in other departments, as the need arises to support fellow staff members in achieving the company mission.

  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing abilities and visual acuity.
  • Talking and hearing occurs continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other associates.
  • Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
  • Required to use hands, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
