Description
Duties
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Load, seal, and complete all paperwork for outbound truckloads of finished products.
- Ensure loads are maximized without exceeding legal weight limits on all tractor-trailer combinations.
- Assist the Shift Miller as needed with operational tasks.
- Complete assigned cleaning and general maintenance duties.
- Support the packing operation when necessary.
- Perform job functions without causing damage to company property.
- Ensure alignment with the shipping schedule to meet deadlines.
- Proactively suggest facility or process improvements.
- Observe and report unusual activity related to site security.
- Report any food safety or sanitation concerns immediately.
- Actively participate in workplace safety and food safety training.
- Perform additional tasks or responsibilities as required by leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Willingness to work all shifts and weekends as necessary
- Ability to follow instructions, operate equipment, and work independently or on a team
Physical Demands
Physically able to perform all requirements including but not limited to:
- Ability to walk stairs and climb up and down bulk trailers during a 9-hour shift.
- Perform general cleaning duties throughout the facility.
- Assist with general maintenance and minor repair tasks.
- Ability to lift and pack sacks up to 100 lbs.
Work Environment
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts and industrial equipment.
- Frequent exposure to airborne particles, flour dust, and vibrations.
- Occasional exposure to hot, cold, and/or humid environments.
- May occasionally work in environments where exposure to certain chemicals or electrical components is possible. All necessary safety protocols and protective equipment are provided.
- Consistently loud working conditions typical of a milling and shipping facility.
