Description
Sanitation Crew Leader
Responsible for the day-to-day implementation of pre-operational procedures by establishing and maintaining sanitary conditions throughout all Truvant's facilities. Leading the room of employees to ensure the sanitation procedures are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
- Daily cleaning and sanitizing of production rooms, pack-off areas, and packaging equipment
- Cleaning and sanitizing of any other areas assigned by the sanitation Crew Leader
- Disassembling and assembling of equipment and production lines.
- Operate a floor buffer and scrubber.
- If any GMP violations have been observed, document and train the individual with input from your crew leader.
- Consult supervisor on disciplinary, if necessary. Must notify supervisor of any incident under this expectation.
- Fill out required sanitation pre-operational reports.
- Help train employees in areas they are unfamiliar with.
- Assist on production line as needed.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Education, Training & Experience:
- No previous experience required
- Knowledge of basic sanitation procedures and equipment a plus.
- Knowledge of basic chemical use and chemical safety measures a plus
- On the job training provided
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
- Knowledge gained through on the job training of company products, policies, and procedures
- Ability to pay close attention to detail.
- Skill in operating various equipment as needed to perform the job.
- Ability to function cooperatively and effectively in a team environment with peers and personnel in other departments.
- Ability to keep company and customer information that is discussed or viewed while under employment with Truvant confidential.
- Ability to adhere to all regulatory and company policies, procedures, work instructions including but not limited to: Truvant policies, customer specific policies, ISO, GMP's, USDA, regulatory food safety and food defense.
Physical And Environmental Requirements:
- Must be able to read documents, printouts, computer screens and other communication

- Must be able to reach, touch, grasp.
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of time.
- Must be able to Climb, Stoop/Kneel, Lift, Pull and Push.
- Must be able to conduct yourself in a safe manner to avoid accidents while on the production floor.
- Must be able to work in various environments based on building location and products.
- Level of Physical Requirements: Sedentary to medium work level; lifting and positioning weight loads up to 40 pounds.
