Western Wisconsin Health is looking for a part-time Accounting Clerk (0.5 FTE). The Accounting Clerk is responsible for the payment of invoices and provides backup support for the department. All of this is done to support the organization's mission while living our values. This position is eligible to work in a hybrid environment after formal evaluation is completed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Compares the invoice to the electronic or paper purchase order to insure receipt;
- Maintains Vendor Master;
- Expenses each item/invoice to the appropriate general ledger account;
- Ensures proper signatures/electronic approval on every invoice before paying;
- Scans invoices into the computer system;
- Prepares checks and mails to vendors weekly;
- Prepares ACH file for the bank upload weekly;
- Prepares AP journal entries for invoices not received prior to AP close;
- Provides back up support for Fixed Assets & Miscellaneous billing;
- Demonstrates awareness, understanding, and respect of cultural diversity and patients of all ages and socioeconomic groups; and
- Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience with accounts payable
- 1+ years of experience working in healthcare
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Maintain the integrity of highly confidential business and patient information
- Display and promote the organization's Standard of Excellence
- Exhibit excellent communication and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently
- Ability to consistently carry out job responsibilities, able to acknowledge when commitments are not met, and take appropriate steps to fulfill responsibility
- Strong attention to detail
- Expertise in Accounts Payable
- Familiarity with Journal Entries and Check Processing
Work schedule:
- 0.5 FTE - 20 hours per week
- Hybrid work schedule
- Monday - Friday, 4 hours per day
- Every other Friday off - this week Thursday would be an 8 hour day
