Accounting Specialist (part-time)

Rancho Cordova, CA (onsite)

Are you looking for a part-time position? Do you have an accounting background supporting with accounts payable and payroll? We are looking for a part-time accounting professional for a wonderful team in Rancho Cordova, CA. The ideal candidate will be able to support with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll, be open to part-time hours, and have a can-do attitude. Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable

  • Process vendor invoices, expense reports, and employee reimbursements
  • Verify accuracy, obtain approvals, and ensure proper GL coding
  • Prepare and assist with weekly or biweekly check runs and electronic payments
  • Maintain organized AP files and respond to vendor inquiries

Payroll Support

  • Assist with payroll processing for hourly and/or salaried employees
  • Review and validate timesheets and payroll data for accuracy
  • Enter payroll changes (new hires, rate changes, deductions)
  • Support payroll reporting and maintain confidential payroll records

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in accounts payable and/or payroll
  • Familiarity with payroll systems and basic accounting principles
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Experience handling confidential information with discretion

Pay Details: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour
