Accounts Payable Specialist (On-Site)

Pay Range: $20.23 - $25.79 per hour
Location: Ogdensburg, NY

Role Overview
North Star Health Alliance/Claxton Hepburn Medical Campus is seeking a detail-oriented professional to manage the full lifecycle of our Healthcare Accounts Payable (AP) process. The ideal candidate will combine technical proficiency in bookkeeping software with the high-level communication skills needed to manage vendor relationships and internal coordination. Key Responsibilities

• Full-Cycle AP Processing: Own all aspects of AP, including processing and distributing invoices, issuing payments, and maintaining digital and physical financial records.
• Vendor Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors regarding payment inquiries, invoice requests, and account reconciliations.
• Data Integrity: Maintain a high volume of records with 100% accuracy, ensuring all entries align with internal compliance and auditing standards.
• Administrative Support: Assist with professional correspondence, scheduling, and specialized data entry using office management systems.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Business or Accounting preferred.
• Experience: 2+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, Bookkeeping, or high-volume Administrative Support (experience with CPSI is a plus).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel) and accounting software such as QuickBooks or AMS360.
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for professional interaction with both internal teams and external partners.
• Mindset: A detail-oriented team player who can work independently, meet strict deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
