Accounts Payable Specialist

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to support critical accounting operations for one of our clients. This role is ideal for a seasoned accounting professional with strong SAP experience, advanced Excel skills, and a solid understanding of GAAP. The Accounts Payable Specialist will play a key role across Accounts Payable while supporting Accounts Receivable and General Ledger functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounts payable including invoice processing, coding, approvals, and payments
• Process transactions and maintain vendor data within SAP
• Perform AP account reconciliations and support month-end close activities
• Prepare journal entries and assist with General Ledger support
• Collaborate with Accounts Receivable and accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies
• Use advanced Excel skills to analyze data, reconcile accounts, and create reports
• Support audits and respond to internal and external inquiries as needed

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Accounts Payable or related accounting roles
• Required experience working in SAP
• Advanced Excel proficiency including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP
• Experience supporting Accounts Receivable and General Ledger functions
• High attention to detail with strong organizational and communication skills
