Manage complex accounts and drive cash flow for a high-volume FMCG supply chain

A well-established FMCG manufacturing business is seeking an Accounts Receivable Controller to join their finance team in Atlantis. This is an excellent opportunity to take operational responsibility for a high-volume debtor's book, managing complex accounts and driving cash flow collections within a fast-paced retail supply chain environment.

Reporting to the Financial Accountant, you will actively manage credit risk and ensure the accurate reconciliation of accounts receivable statements. You will take full ownership of resolving complex discrepancy reports, handling claims, and ensuring the correct allocation of remittances.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reconcile monthly accounts receivable statements using Pastel Evolution.
• Manage the collection of outstanding monies and proactively follow up on unpaid invoices.
• Resolve complex discrepancy reports, claims, rebates, and advertising fees originating from major retail chains.
• Process approved claims and correctly allocate remittances to customer accounts.
• Maintain debtor information on the accounting system and open new accounts in line with company procedures.
• Build and maintain direct, operational relationships with customer account administrators to ensure swift query resolution.

Qualifications & Experience:

• At least a matric and 3+ years of direct experience in an Accounts Receivable or Debtors role.
• Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Bookkeeping or Credit Control is highly advantageous.
• Proven FMCG industry experience, specifically managing accounts for large national retail stores.
• Demonstrated experience reconciling complex discrepancy reports, retail claims, and rebates.
• Strong proficiency in Pastel Evolution or similar and Microsoft Excel.
• Must currently reside within a 25 km radius of Atlantis or Malmesbury.

Salary & Benefits:

• R23,000 - R27,000 per month, depending on qualifications and experience
