Accounts Receivable / Customer Service Specialist - Job Description

Adecco is partnering with a client in New Windsor NY and is seeking a accounts payable/customer service candidate. This role combines financial responsibilities with customer interaction, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers while providing excellent service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate and distribute customer invoices accurately and on time
  • Process incoming payments and apply them to the correct accounts
  • Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on past-due accounts
  • Communicate with customers regarding billing questions, payment status, and discrepancies
  • Resolve invoice or payment issues in a professional and timely manner
  • Reconcile accounts receivable records and maintain accurate documentation
  • Provide general customer support via phone, email, or chat
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth billing and service operations

Qualifications:

  • 1-3+ years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or customer service
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite)
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles
  • Problem-solving mindset with a customer-first approach

Pay Details: $28.00 to $29.00 per hour
