Admin Assistant/Unit Coordinator

Under limited supervision, the Administrative Assistant provides administrative and clerical support for the Health Center. Prepares various documents, including letters of correspondence, and maintains an administrative filing system. As a representative and team member of the company, this position is expected to present oneself in a manner that reflects professionalism and ensures resident satisfaction.

This is a Full-Time Benefited Position

Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday (10:00am - 6:00pm)

Pay: $24 -$26.00, Depending on Experience

Act as a liaison between departments for the coordination of services.

Prepares letters of correspondence, memorandums, reports, forms, etc.

Performs daily rounds of the 2nd floor to verify department cleanliness, good order of equipment, and standards maintained.

Assists with room moves, admission prep, and discharges.

Assists with the preparation of medical records.

Answer phones and greet residents, families, and visitors.

Maintains the storage room and restocks as necessary.

Skills

Exceptional internal and external communication skills, including reading, writing, and conversing in English

Great telecommunication skills.

Decision-making and problem-solving skills

Reading, writing, and conversing in English: effective verbal and listening

Excellent time management and organizational skills

Minimum Requirements

Education

High school diploma or equivalent,

Some college coursework or vocational school courses emphasize clerical skills, including transcribing, alphabetizing, filing, word processing, spreadsheets, tables, and scheduling.

Experience/Training

At least one year of clerical experience, or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities.

Some experience in a health care setting.
