Minimum Qualifications: Two years of experience in administrative services. EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Job Duties:

  • Receives and reviews applications for compliance with departmental policies, conducts applicant interviews, and assists clients with submitting benefit applications via kiosk
  • Performs initial assessments by gathering and evaluating information to determine potential eligibility for social service programs
  • Researches client history and processes case-related actions using multiple automated systems
  • Assists in program eligibility determination by obtaining and verifying documentation and coordinating with Social Services Analysts
  • Provides customer service and front-office support by greeting clients, assessing needs, answering inquiries, and serving as backup receptionist as needed
  • Performs clerical and administrative duties such as scanning and indexing documents, managing mail and faxes, maintaining records, and preparing reports to support program operations
  • Maintains readiness for emergency response by participating in disaster operations, including interviewing and registering applicants, determining eligibility for Disaster Food Stamp Programs, and supporting shelter operations during emergencies
