Job Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the administrative assistant, this position will be assigned as the switchboard operator.
Responsible for answering the institutional switchboard and routing the calls to the appropriate personnel/department.
Develop and maintain a filing system for incident reports.
Coordinate and schedule attorney visits to the institution.
Responsible for retrieving, assigning tracking numbers and entering inmate grievances into the mainframe.
Perform administrative duties for other areas as required by the warden or administrative assistant.
This position will also serve as the receptionist for the warden's area.
Must successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma. Related clerical experience may be substituted for a high school diploma.
SCDC Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma and related clerical experience.
