St. Mary's College of Maryland at Historic St. Mary's City is accepting resumes for the position of Advanced HVAC Mechanic. This is an advanced position related to the mechanical trades of heating, plumbing, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration. Employee must be trained in and work with a limited amount of asbestos on an as needed basis; will be required to be "on call" for emergencies on weekends, evenings and holidays; and must be dependable and punctual.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Six years hands on experience in maintenance and repair and installation of heating, air conditioning and refrigeration systems; and four years mechanical trades experience directly associated with plumbing and/or basic electricity.
- Applicant must possess at least one certification of formal training related to HVAC systems, plumbing, basic electricity or control systems.
- Must possess a valid driver's license, preferably Maryland.
- Must possess a Universal CFC certification and Maryland Asbestos certification or ability to obtain the certifications within six months of employment.
- Must be able to use ladders to work at heights up to approximately 35 feet and able to lift approximately 50 pounds.
Any combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position, may be considered.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.
The annual salary range is $60,000-$70,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
