Description
Belletech, a leading manufacturing company located in Bellefontaine, OH, is currently seeking qualified Assembly Associates to join our production team. As an Assembly Associate, you will work various production lines assembling components to glass while maintaining top quality standards to our products. These are hourly positions offering a competitive starting base wage rate that is based upon experience. The base wage rate may vary from $18.00 to $22.17 per hour, which may include a shift premium, as well as quarterly bonuses, medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid holidays, paid time off, attendance incentives, a 401k plan with company match, and opportunities for career growth. Full-time positions are available on 2nd shift and occasionally first shift positions are available.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures safety of self and others within the production area and is responsible for notifying supervisor or safety team of all safety concerns.
- Follows all safe practices to promote a safe work environment.
- Follows all environmental practices and promotes environmental improvement
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Maintains 5S standards which include general cleaning, correct placement of tools, etc.
- Actively participate in all activities within the production environment
- Operates equipment in accordance with established production procedures for production of glass products to meet the quality of product and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Is open and receptive to training and development.
- Performs operator duties to meet the daily production requirements.
- Rotate job tasks throughout line/department to ensure best ergonomic practices.
- Rotation may include: Load and/or unload glass according to work instructions, applying primer to raw glass and/or bezels using appropriate equipment/processes, adding components according to requirements/standards, use of small hand tools to apply parts and trim clips and/or flash, etc., conducting inspections to ensure quality of all products
- Ensures the quality of all products and report defects immediately; take appropriate measures to correct.
- Provides input to equipment and process improvement initiatives i.e. KTA Teams.
- Provides operator coverage of vacancy for other team members/shifts as needed.
- Document all activities as required.
- Other duties or projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must be able to read and understand verbal and written instructions and other directives or documents as job duties require (testing or other aptitude verification may be required).
- 3 - 6 months of manufacturing or other experience preferred (1 year strongly preferred).
- In lieu of the above, any combination of formal education, experience, and training providing the knowledge and ability to read, write, and perform job duties at a level required for successful job performance.
- Required to work 8 - 12-hour schedule, including weekends and some holidays
