Position Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented AP/AR Specialist with 2+ years of experience to join our finance team. This role is perfect for someone who has mastered the basics of AP and AR and is looking for a stable, professional environment where they can take ownership of the full accounting cycle. You will be the primary point of contact for vendor payments and customer billing, ensuring our financial records remain accurate and up to date.
Key Responsibilities

Full-Cycle Accounts Payable: Manage the invoice approval process, audit bills against purchase orders, and ensure vendors are paid accurately and on time.

Accounts Receivable & Collections: Generate customer invoices, post payments, and handle professional collection efforts for past-due accounts.

Data Management: Utilize QuickBooks to input financial data, code transactions, and resolve account discrepancies.

Financial Support: Assist with project cost reporting, reconcile account statements, and support the Accounting Manager with monthly reports.

Record Keeping: Maintain organized digital and physical files for all business transactions and correspondence.
Qualifications

Experience: 2+ years of experience in an Accounting Clerk, AP, or AR role.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, and some experience in Quickbooks is preferred.

Communication: Professional verbal and written communication skills for interacting with vendors and clients.

Detail-Oriented: Strong mathematical skills and the ability to spot discrepancies in financial data.

Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Accounting is a plus.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
This is a professional office role performed in a climate-controlled environment. Candidates should be comfortable with extended periods of sitting and computer use. Occasional light lifting (up to 20 lbs) of office supplies or files may be required.
