Assembler I (Insulated Flex-duct Operator)
Classification: Non-exempt (Union Position)
Salary Grade: The hourly pay range for this position is $18.00-$25.00, commensurate with experience, education, and other job-related factors.
Reports to: Manufacturing General Manager

Summary: Kickstart or Continue Your Career in Insulated Fabric Flex Fabrication (Union Position).
Essential Functions:
· Produces Insulated Fabric Flex product using the insulation flex machine, works with semi-automated machines, hand tools, various rolled sheet goods, and fiberglass Insulation
· Reads work order and selects appropriate size equipment to set up machine to produce the correct product based on work order
· Loads unwinds with new rolls of insulation materials, type 3, or 4 fabric flex, Poly or metallic outer covering, as needed
· Moves controls, buttons, levers or foot pedals to start flex machine and regulate speed of materials run
· Measures and cuts insulated flex using tape measures, knives, or metal shears
· Runs Insulated Fabric Flex material to correct length, boxes them based on work order and stock requirements
· Works with insulation and buck-duct operations, as needed
· Produces Buck Duct on Buck Duct machine based on production order
· Works with rolled aluminum coils to feed the buck duct machine
· Removes extra materials from area when finished with work order, following safety procedures
· Verifies quality and correct size measurements
· Operates Forklift and Hand Trucks
· Maintains accurate inventory levels and conducts cycle counts
· Ability to lift 50 - 60 pounds and be safety oriented
Qualifications:
· Recent (or soon to be) grad of vocational/technical school program in HVAC, welding or sheet metal, or
· Experienced Assemblers or Fabricators, seeking consistency and great benefits
