Job Summary

The primary function of this position is to assist in leading assembly activities and represented workforce to accomplish cost, schedule, and quality objectives for ESIS integration area. Assures the timeliness and quality of assembled product and production records. Assure that employees comply with defined core processes that are program specific: cabinets, bays, and other telecommunications equipment in a timely manner. Coordinates activities with the Engineering, Order Management, and Logistics Departments to ensure that the product meets the customer's needs and is delivered on time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Identifies and implements changes to improve quality, schedule and cost
  • Ensures certification of employees who perform certification required task
  • Coordinates department activities and special projects to ensure quality and meet timetables
  • Coordinate with Assembly Manager for appropriate staffing levels, and scheduling to include: work assignments, employee vacations, overtime assignment, and back-up for absent employees
  • Lead the schedule resources to meet department productivity and quality goals
  • Coordinates with the logistics department in staging materials for jobs
  • Develops and executes work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
  • Assures that the product is built in compliance to industry and quality standards
  • Addresses all quality findings and takes timely corrective actions to correct the findings and to prevent any re occurrence. Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion
  • Maintain good document of time and production records
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change
  • Provide training on required skills
  • Assists manager in retaining training records
  • Lead Assembly weekly meetings
Managerial Responsibility
  • This position does not have supervisory duties
Travel/Shift Requirements
  • No travel required
  • Ability to work non-standard shift hours
Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift and/or push 40lbs
  • Able to stand for two or more hours at a time

Education and Experience Required
  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or A.S. in Business/Telecommunication related field from an accredited college or university; with two years related experience/training; or equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as listed above
  • Knowledge and experience in electronics background preferred
Work Environment
  • Non-temperature controlled warehouse; exposure to seasonal heat and cold.
Schedule
  • 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • 12-hour rotating shift (2-2-3 schedule)
  • Work pattern: 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on (alternating weekly)
  • Includes weekend rotation
