Assembler, Spanish Springs 19.50 to 22.75

Picker/Packer

Warehouse/production role focused on preparing customer orders accurately and efficiently for shipment.

Core responsibilities:

• Pick orders: Use RF scanners or pick lists to locate and select the correct parts and quantities.
• Pack products: Verify items and package them in appropriate shipping containers.
• Ship orders: Prepare shipments, including documentation, labels, and ensuring timely dispatch.
• Follow pick lists: Prioritize and organize orders based on customer deadlines or urgency.

Warehouse & Administrative Tasks:

• Operate shipping or warehouse computer systems (order printing, tracking, label creation).
• Perform data entry and basic clerical work (filing, order confirmation).
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for shipments.

Inventory & Warehouse Support:

• Assist with cycle counts and inventory placement.
• Monitor packing/shipping supplies and notify supervisors when restocking is needed.
• Help with general warehouse organization and workflow.

Equipment & Physical Work:

• Operate material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts if certified).
• Perform repetitive physical tasks (standing, lifting, handling parts).
• Maintain hand-eye coordination and accuracy while picking items.

Safety & Work Environment:

• Keep a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and special instructions.
• Ensure accuracy and quality to avoid shipping errors.

Key Skills / Requirements:

• Experience in shipping/warehouse work (often ~2 years preferred).
• Ability to use scanners, computers, and warehouse systems
• Forklift certification (or ability to obtain it)
• Attention to detail and ability to meet productivity targets
