Asset Protection Associate Manager
The Asset Protection Associate Manager will provide multi-disciplined leadership in support of the Asset Protection (AP) organization in Courtland, AL. This position provides day-to-day direction of the contract security personnel responsible for 24/7 security of Space Systems Company Courtland, AL Lockheed Martin facilities, as well as provides direct oversight of the Asset Protection Duty Officer Supervisors and other support elements of the Asset Protection Group.
Responsibilities include:
- Supervises employees who provide physical security and fire protection to safeguard personnel and property.
- Coordinates subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
- May coordinate the activities of patrol cars, emergency firefighting equipment, radar, closed-circuit TV, and communications systems.
- Establishes regular security inspections and coordinates with firefighting and civil law-enforcement agencies.
- Screens, hires, and manages cleared security escort contractors.
- Supports activities that are all encompassing of the Security and Emergency Services (S&ES) organization.
- Coordinates training, procedural and policy implementation, emergency response and dispatching, radio communication, traffic enforcement, alarm and closed-circuit TV monitoring, security escort oversight, inspections, investigations, and report writing.
Candidate will routinely interact with internal customers, industry partners, contractors, local law enforcement and other emergency responders. Other responsibilities may include providing security related briefings and participation in technical discussions and planning related to security operations. Additionally, candidate will occasionally be assigned projects associated with S&ES objectives and priorities.
This position requires ability to obtain Top Secret clearance. Must be a U.S. Citizen. A psychological screening is required.
Basic Qualifications:
- Prior leadership or lead experience.
- Understanding of security and/or law enforcement principles regarding protection of personnel and property.
- Familiarity with roles and responsibilities of Physical & Technical Security, Force Protection, Crisis Management, Executive Protection, Access Control and Incident Management & Report Writing.
- Valid Driver's License and the ability to operate company-owned vehicles.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and obtain and maintain Top Secret clearance.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with investigations, interviewing witnesses, writing and delivering briefings.
- Public speaking experience, delivering briefings and providing training to large groups, and the ability to liaison with internal and external customers.
- Medical First Responder experience and/or the ability to obtain AED/CPR certification.
- Familiarity with Incident Command Structure (ICS) consistent with FEMA National Incident Management System / Incident Command System.
- Knowledge of Industrial Security practices, Crisis Management procedures, and Fire Compliance responsibilities.
- Prior military and/or law enforcement experience.
