Assistant Manager at IHOP

The Assistant Manager at IHOP supports the General Manager in the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring high standards of food quality, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house activities.
  • Supervise, train, and motivate team members to deliver exceptional guest service and uphold brand standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
  • Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage food and supply costs.
  • Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally and efficiently to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Assist with scheduling, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions for team members.
  • Contribute to achieving sales goals and managing labor costs effectively.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
  • Perform cash handling duties, including deposits and drawer reconciliation.
  • Support the General Manager in implementing marketing initiatives and promotions.

Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a restaurant or food service environment.
  • Proven ability to lead, train, and develop a team.
  • Strong understanding of restaurant operations, including inventory control, labor management, and guest service.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficiency in POS systems and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
