The Associate Design Engineer supports new firearm design and related components from concept through production. This role assists with CAD design, fixture and gauge development, prototyping, testing, and documentation. The position collaborates with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet safety, performance, and manufacturability standards.

What You'll Do
- Assist with CAD models, drawings, and BOMs for new designs and product improvements.
- Support prototype builds, testing, and validation activities.
- Design and update fixtures, gauges, and equipment to support development.
- Assist in documenting engineering changes, specifications, and procedures.
- Collaborate with senior engineers, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to resolve issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, and 1-3 years experience.
- Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks or similar).
- Familiarity with machining and manufacturing processes preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Interest in firearms and product design preferred.
Accountabilities and Measures
- Meet goals assigned by the Firearms Design Engineer during performance coaching.
- Support KPIs for safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Maintain accuracy and timeliness of documentation and process execution.
Physical Requirements
- Primarily a sedentary role with occasional standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Prolonged standing and ability to manipulate and assemble small parts.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 56 pounds.
Work Environment
- Office/clerical environment with standard office equipment.
- Exposure to manufacturing/factory settings with fumes, airborne particles, moving machinery, vibration, and moderate to loud noise levels.
