Job Title: Billing Specialist

Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Billing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurate and timely billing, setting up new customer accounts, supporting collections efforts, and providing backup for Accounts Receivable functions. The ideal candidate is analytical, dependable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Billing Management: Process and maintain billing for a variety of services and products, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • New Account Setup: Establish new customer accounts by collecting required documentation, verifying credit references, and confirming billing requirements.
  • Collections Support: Monitor outstanding receivables, follow up on past-due invoices, and assist with collection strategies to improve payment timelines.
  • Accounts Receivable Support: Provide backup for AR functions, including posting payments, reconciling accounts, and resolving billing discrepancies.
  • Additional Duties: Assist with month-end close, aging reports, reporting, and other projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in billing, accounts receivable, or a related financial role required
  • Solid understanding of billing and AR processes and best practices
  • Experience with both AR and AP functions preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
