Bookkeeper

Asbury Tower is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team!

Asbury Tower is a Springpoint Senior Living affordable housing community, located in Asbury Park, NJ. The bookkeeper is responsible for various office functions, including but not limited to: bookkeeping, answering phones, assisting residents, and responding to the Senior Executive Director's request for assistance. Create and/or maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and professionalism at all times.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the collection and posting of rent and subsidy payments, via the Realpage program, monitor and address any discrepancies or past due amounts.
  • Send correspondence to residents and Public Housing Authorities as needed regarding rent and subsidy payments.
  • Confirm accuracy of invoices, payment vouchers, code to appropriate GL, and submit for SED approval via the DSSI system.
  • Deposit rent and security deposit checks via TD Bank/ Internet and physically at the bank, as needed, and enter payments into Realpage.
  • Process all move-in/ move-out paperwork in a timely manner, set up Escrow accounts and issue refund checks.
  • Complete month end closing procedures.

Education and Experience:

  • High school Diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 2 years office experience and bookkeeping

Pay Range: $20-22

Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00a – 4:30p, full time at 40 hours per week.
