Description
We are seeking a Bookkeeper/Personal Assistant to manage both business and personal financial accounts with accuracy, discretion, and integrity. This role requires a high level of trust, strong attention to detail, and the ability to maintain strict separation between personal and business finances. This position will be working in a residential environment in Argyle and requires a background check.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records for personal accounts
- Record transactions and reconcile bank and credit card accounts in QuickBooks
- Help with personal budgeting, run personal errands
- Track expenses, budgets, and cash flow
- Organize and maintain records for tax preparation and coordinate with CPAs
- 1095 and government filings
- Pay authorized personal and business bills
- Identify discrepancies and report issues promptly
- Digital and physical filing
- Assist with Marketplace and eBay sales and listings
- Always maintain confidentiality and audit-ready records
Qualifications
- Proven bookkeeping experience
- Experience with QuickBooks is a must,
- Experience with software platforms such as OnePass, Monday.com, Excel, and all of the Microsoft suite is a big plus
- Bonded (or willing and able to obtain bonding)
- Texas notary a plus
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles
- High level of integrity, discretion, and reliability
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and be independently motivated
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or certificate in Accounting or Finance
- Experience handling both personal and business finances simultaneously
- Experience working with CPAs and tax professionals a big plus
