Description
Maintenance Technician
Perform general maintenance and repair duties across all bank locations. Maintain the bank's professional image through proactive property care and resolution of facility-related needs. Act independently to ensure full compliance with bank standards and safety regulations, utilizing professional judgment to address operational challenges.
Essential Duties:
- Warehouse & Inventory Management: Maintain safety and functionality of warehouse space. Serve as primary contact for all deliveries and shipments.
- General Maintenance & Repairs: Troubleshoot minor mechanical, plumbing, painting, and carpentry to determine vendor assistance; perform routine tasks.
- Grounds & Exterior Upkeep: Maintain exterior appearance such as removing debris from parking lots, power washing surfaces, managing flag protocols, and installing promotional banners at branch locations.
- Vendor Performance Management: Serve as point of contact for all outsourced building services; direct on-site vendor activities to ensure repairs and specialized services are completed on schedule, within scope, and with minimal disruption to business operations.
- Administrative Tracking: Maintain maintenance logs, request, service schedules, and completed work orders to ensure operational continuity.
- Records Management: Monitor the document storage area and coordinate the secure, timely destruction of confidential information in compliance with retention policies.
- Event Support: Facilitate facility setups for corporate events, meetings, and training sessions by arranging furniture and equipment in the lobby or designated meeting rooms.
- Logistics & Fleet Operation: Operate a motor vehicle to transport materials and provide maintenance support to satellite branch facilities.
Marginal Functions:
- Seasonal Grounds Care: Mitigate weather-related hazards by sweeping walkways and performing snow/ice removal; assist with the installation and removal of seasonal holiday decorations.
- Janitorial Support: Perform supplemental cleaning tasks as needed, including vacuuming, mopping, high-surface dusting, and specialized stain removal from upholstery or flooring.
- Heavy Lifting & Relocation: Assist in the movement of office furniture, crates, equipment, and storage boxes to facilitate workspace transitions.
- Miscellaneous Support: Execute other building-related duties as assigned by management to support facility operations.
Bank Secrecy Act Duties:
- In the performance of respective tasks and duties, this position must maintain knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act regulations and all other regulatory, security, and Bank policies and procedures.
Company Conformance:
- First National Bank's (FNB) promotional materials may include photos, videos and other recordings taken in the workplace or at company-sponsored events. Acceptance of employment with FNB gives consent to such photos, videos and other recordings and these may be used in social media posts, newsletters and other promotional materials. No extra compensation or advance notice will be provided when recordings are made or published.
- In compliance with all applicable regulations and Bank policies, this position is expected to successfully produce quality work within deadlines, with or without supervision; interact professionally with other employees, customers, and vendors, while always respecting the need for confidentiality of customer information. The employee will work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments and work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations. Furthermore, the employee is encouraged to actively represent the Bank to customers and the general public in ways that promote the integrity, validity, and mission of the Bank by participating in community organizations, events, and activities. The employee is also expected to maintain a commitment to continuing education in the banking field through self-study and both in-house and outside training opportunities in all applicable banking policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Regular and punctual attendance is expected, and appropriate attire is required at all times, while either performing job functions or representing the Bank at outside events and activities.
Requirements:
Required Minimum Qualifications:
- High School graduation or equivalent.
- Two years of recent related work experience.
- Valid driver's license. Personal motor vehicle to be used in transporting supplies and maintaining branch facilities (mileage reimbursed).
Must also have the following demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Ability to speak, read, and write English to understand instructions.
- Ability to use various power and hand tools very efficiently and actively.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Ability to diplomatically, yet effectively, communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of Bank staff, customers, and other related parties.
- Basic computer skills.
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail; follow-through.
- Self-reliance; resourcefulness
